WELCOME TO THE

POUR for POVERTY project (p³)

pour love.

Everyone knows that the blue whale is the largest living animal in the world, but did you know that their hearts are the size of small cars and a single human could swim through their arteries? This fact inspired the motto behind the POUR for POVERTY project (p³) in hopes of having hearts so big that we can give with that much love. Let’s have the heart of a whale and pour our love to those in need.

GIFTS out of love every SUMMER & WINTER. for people in NEED

IMG_4833Each year I make large bags through out the summers & winters ($25-50) filled with sustainable essentials that I feel serve a beneficial purpose for people living in poverty. I enjoy devoting my time and love in creating the gifts and making each bag special for the people that receive one throughout the season. Besides adding basics like clothing, food, and hygiene products, I add in written letters, prayers, bible verses, and ultimately just lots of love. The bags are distributed to the poor throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex and occasionally other cities when traveling.

behind the project

a whales heartbeat can be detected from two miles away. Here’s to sharing strong heartbeats for the poor. May they feel love wherever they are.

There’s hurting, poor people everywhere and there’s hurting people in the very city you live in. Not all of us have a million dollars, but we all have a beating heart with a giving purpose. So as long as we’re alive, we’re all called to be Gods hands and feet. Whether it’s feeding one or one hundred, we are all givers of love and love can always be shared. So let’s give our hearts; let’s give our time. Mother Teresa once said, it isn’t about how much of anything we give, it’s about the love that we give with. This is profound to me, because so often we miss the beauty of giving with tender, real love so that it can be felt. This project is about inspiring others to keep giving what they can and pouring selfless, intentional love from our hearts for others. We can do little things with great love. “If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing” (1 Corinthians 3:13). Let’s have the heart of a whale.

by GIVING, you give HOPE

“But whoever has the world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and closes his heart of compassion against him, how does the love of God remain in him?” (1 John 3:17).
